Bio

Rob Oliver is an instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter who specializes in guitar and harmonica in styles varying from classic rock to rhythm & blues and everything in between. His musical influences range from bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and Radiohead to Little Walter, Paul Butterfield, and Muddy Waters to name a few.

He has been performing original and cover music for over twenty years in both electric and acoustic settings. Some bands he has been a member of include Two Foot Small, Softstone, The Retailers, Departure, The Grifters, and The Groove Cats.

Beginning in January 2019, Rob started recording his debut album, "Highs & Lows & Blues". Featuring some of Rob's favorite musicians from the Hampton Roads area, the album contains 12 tracks of blues music that run from piedmont style acoustic to electric rhythm & blues. You can find Rob currently playing shows all over Hampton Roads and beyond as both a solo artist and as part of his electric band, Rob Oliver & The Attractors. In addition to performing he is also a private music instructor for guitar, harmonica, ukulele, and bass.
